On Wednesday, Nov. 27, troopers conducted a “move over” enforcement detail along the I-684 corridor in Westchester, which was “conducted in furtherance of our mission to ensure highway safety for all users of the roadway.”
During that detail, troopers issued 38 tickets total, including 11 for drivers that failed to change lanes for law enforcement.
Two days later, on Friday, Nov. 29, troopers were again out in force, this time in Somers, for a distracted driver detail on I-684.
During the second detail, troopers issued 55 tickets for vehicle and traffic violations. Of those, 17 were for violations of the “move over” law.
The details come on the heels of various similar details targeting speeding drivers, distracted drivers, and others committing vehicle and traffic violations in the area.
